Do a google search for the AKC and Pom breeders in your area. Then do research and find out who are reputable breeders. Under $1000 should get you a very nice pup. I just paid $650 for mine with limited registration.

I don't agree about going to a shelter unless that's what you really want to do. I think it's great that people do adopt, but I wanted to raise mine from a young pup and to know the history of the dog. I don't feel guilty about that one bit as I am a responsible pet owner.

Do not encourage breeders- please find a rescue group. Pomeranians are not uncommon in rescue.

i dont live near Chicago, but i can mail you one. i cant afford a box so i may have to use an envelope. dont worry i'll squish him real flat so he'll slide through the mail slot.
look at your local animal shelters! there are soo many animals out there that need a good home. it makes you feel soo good to help those poor animals, have you seen those Purina dog food commercials? they break my heart every time i see them! i suggest you just look at the shelters.
