Oh my gosh this wedding planning is hard when my family is scattered across the country anyway... I originally chose pink and turquoise because of the dress has the aurora boreallis beading and its a 50's themed wedding but now my mom thinks I should ignore the gown and just use various shades of pink, ivory and black and let my dress stand out, something borrowed something blue, She doesnt want my wedding to look like a 50's kitchen just because theme is retro, HELP, I am so clueless! sorry to bother you all again but I cannot make up my mind!

I think your Mom is only trying to help you stick to your origanal ideas that you wanted and not change your ideas because others think differently. She loves you very much and only wants your day to be everything you've dreamed about.

this is your wedding honey. if you want it to look a certain way, then you will have it look a certain way. this is YOUR wedding not anyone elses. You're mother already had hers, your other female relatives already had their's as well....so dont let them try to correct what they didnt like about their weddings through yours okay? Just stand strong and do what you want.
I think that you need to make up your mind its your wedding not your mothers so you need to tell her to back off. But thats my idea I dont know what you want to do. But just keep that in mind.
