The reason why the blue lasers are more expensive are

-the diode used in blue lasers is much more recent technology than the diode used in green lasers and more difficult to make

-the components (crystals %26 lens) in blue lasers are much more expensive than green lasers

-there are much few blue lasers made so the per cost manufacture is much higher.

The processes used to make relatively inexpensive blue lasers are newer (2006 as opposed to 2000 for green and the 1990s for red) and mass production hasn't driven the prices down yet.

I am just guessing but it might be more expensive to make, or the demand for them are in short supply so the price goes up. also some places when something sells fast they will raise the price. supply and demand
