Which computer should I get?

Alienware Aurora 5500, or Dell XPS 400? Tad pricey, but they both seem really great. I'm not much of a gamer, but game focused computers are powerful in general. Any advice?

Listen, just buy any pc which has:

64 bit processor,

512 MB RAM or ++ [AMD is better than Intel]

80 GB or ++

Combo Drive [Optical Drive]

A Multimedia Keyboard %26 Optical Mouse [Wireless is preferable, but requires batteries]

A graphics card [NVidia GeForce is preferable with dedicated 256 MB or ++ for graphics!]

Good speakers and other accesories are your options.

p.s. - I also suggest you buy a 1GB pen drive which nowadays cost around $25 [Rs. 1100]

Dell for sure. Alienwares are really overpriced and the Dell is actually alot better even though it costs less.I dont know why alienwares cost so much?

don't know. mine is a kt600 dragon ultra with athelon processor. it runs pretty good, gaming etc.....I think that's the name.
I would say find a person that builds computers, a friend, not the store, buy parts and have them put it together for you, you will end up with a fast *** machine that has the power to be even a server if you wanted to, for half the cost, plus the best, you pick what you want inside of the computer. It is so easy to put together a computer, just ask some people you know that are into computers.
